Getting Around Bengaluru
From the Airport
Transport. From Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) you can take the BMTC Vayu Vajra airport shuttle bus (routes 500, 500A‑H) to major hubs like Majestic or KR Market; the ride takes about 1‑1.5 hours depending on traffic and costs roughly ₹250‑₹300. There is no metro line to the airport yet, but Uber and Ola operate 24 hours and can be booked via their apps, and prepaid taxi counters are also available.
Once You're There
Transport. Bengaluru’s Namma Metro (Purple and Green lines) links key neighborhoods such as MG Road, Whitefield and Electronic City and is a fast way to avoid traffic. The city centre is fairly walkable, especially around MG Road and Brigade Road, while longer trips are usually taken by Uber or Ola. Renting a car is possible but heavy congestion and limited parking make it less practical for most visitors.
