Getting Around Na Thon (Ko Samui Island)

From the Airport

Rideshare. Grab is the dominant app on Koh Samui; a ride from Samui Airport to Nathon takes about 30 minutes and costs around 300‑400 THB. Taxi. Official airport taxis are available outside the arrivals hall; fixed‑rate 350 THB to Nathon, payable in cash. Songthaew. Shared red‑truck songthaews run from the airport to Nathon every 20‑30 minutes for roughly 150 THB per passenger.

Once You're There

Songthaew. Yellow songthaews circulate between Nathon, Bophut, Chaweng and Lamai, charging 50‑100 THB per short hop. Motorbike Rental. Numerous shops in Nathon rent scooters for 200‑250 THB per day; a popular way to explore the island at your own pace. Rideshare. Grab works island‑wide and is convenient for longer trips or when you prefer a car.

Southern tip of the island. It's quiet and serene. If you're looking for wild adventures, this is not it. If you're looking for a place to relax and do nothing, then this is for you. A long weekend is probably about the right timefeame. The only thing negative about the room is the TV. It's slanted so if you want to watch it from bed, you are viewing the TV at a 45 degrees angle. Not ideal. Restaurants are just ok. I would not recommend the steak restaurant. Hotel manager did comp us for the steak dinner which was generous of them. The Mediterranean and Thai restaurants are better. Service was outstanding throughout.
